Shiv Sena never gives false promises: Thackeray

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Oct 13 (UNI) Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday asserted that his party never gave false promises and assured to fulfill those made in the party manifesto.

Addressing an election rally here for the party's Sillod constituency candidate Abdul Sattar who is contesting the assembly election this time on the Sena ticket after quitting the Congress, he said that a maize processing project will be set up for maize producers after the BJP-Sena alliance government comes to power.

Also, priority will be given for setting up of cotton project and water project in this constituency, he said.

Apart from that, the party will also install statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in this constituency at estimated cost of Rs five crore from Municipal Council budget, the Sena chief said.

Due to the Sena’s help, the Centre has had recovered Rs 1,100 crore from the insurance companies for paying crop insurance to the farmers, he claimed.

Talking about Mr Sattar, Mr Thackeray exuded confidence that Mr Sattar will defeat the opposition party's nominee and will grab power in the state.

The Sena chief thanked people for sitting under scorching sun to listen to him.
