Shinde wanted alliance with Cong: Khaire

Aurangabad (Maharashtra), Sep 29 (UNI) Shiv Sena leader and former MP Chandrakant Khaire on Thursday said Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had tried to join hands with the Congress with 15 Sena MLAs in 2014.
Khaire said Shinde met senior Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan saying that he wanted to join the Congress when Ashok Chavan was the Chief Minister. Later, the issue was put aside, he added.
Some days back, Chavan said that when the Shiv Sena and BJP were in power, a delegation accompanied by Shinde "approached us for forming a Congress-NCP-Shiv Sena government".
