Sheikh Hasina sends Durga Puja gifts to Mamata Banerjee

New Delhi, Oct 20 (UNI) Days ahead of Durga Puja, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has sent four saris and 10kg sweets along with a congratulatory note as gifts to Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
According to sources here on Tuesday, the gifts, that came on Monday-Durga Tritiya-were handed over to Ms Banerjee by Bangladesh's Deputy High Commissioner Toufique Hassan at Nabanna, the Bengal Secretariat in Kolkata.
The "close bond" between the two leaders was noticeable when they met at a cricket match at Eden Gardens in Kolkata in November last year.
