Sharath Kamal, Sharath and other stars move up in National Ranking North Zone TT

Panchkula, Oct 19 (UNI) Top seed A. Sharath Kamal and other star contenders in the men’s sections have arrived for the ongoing UTT National Ranking North Zone Table Tennis Championships at the Tau Devi Lal Multipurpose Indoor Stadium here today.
They straightaway get down to business later in the day after their first-round bye. World No. 3 Sharath, who is drawn in the first quarter, would be elated at the draw which poses no threat for the Chennai paddler, provided he plays with determination to add to his collection of trophies.
Sharath is not unlikely to face any danger, at least until the semi-finals where he could possibly meet either fifth-seed Harmeet Desai or fourth-seed Sanil Shetty, who form part of the second quarter. But Sushmit Sriram from Tamil Nadu is no pushover when it comes to big matches as he could run into Sharath in the quarterfinals.
