Shanta Kumar also opposes India-Pakistan T-20 match in Dharamsala

Shimla, Feb 18(UNI) Causing embarrassment to BJP government and Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association and BCCI joint secretary Anurag Thakur ,the former Himachal Chief Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Shanta Kumar has opposed the India-Pakistan T-20 match to be played in Dharamsala on May 19, 2016 today.
The Congress party and Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh have already opposed this game on the pretext that it would hurt the feelings of martyrs’ families who had lost their lives in the recent Pathankot attack. Mr. Kumar told media persons in Palampur that when the army soldiers from Kangra are repeatedly loosing their lives on the Pakistan border there is no point in organising a match against the hostile country.
“How could just one think of a match with the spectators applauding the country responsible for spreading terrorism in India”, he asked. The government and the HPCA should have reviewed this decision on the ground that falls near the martyrs memorial, he added.
