Shaheed-E-Azam Bhagat Singh State games to be held from Feb 14 to 19 in Punjab

Chandigarh, Jan 8 (UNI) The Punjab Sports department is all set to organise the Shaheed-E-Azam Bhagat Singh Games in theis state from February 14 to 19.
Stating this here today, a sports department spokesman said the inaugural ceremony of the games would be held on February 14. He informed that the competitions during the games would be open to both men and women and to be hosted in different towns across the state.
Divulging more details, he said the Basketball, Football, Handball, Cycling (men and women) competitions would be held in Ludhiana whereas Jalandhar would host the Hockey (men), Badminton and Shooting (men and women). Patiala would organise the events of Weightlifting, Volleyball, Gymnastics along with Rythmic, Archery (men and women) and competitions in Boxing, Wrestling (Greeco and Roman style) including Judo (men and women) would be held in Sri Anandpur Sahib and Rupnagar.
