SFI, DYFI staged march against police action on Jamia Milia students

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 16 (UNI) The activists of Students' Federation of India (SFI) and Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) staged a protest march to the Raj Bhavan here and all the district headquarters in Kerala on Sunday midnight in protest against "the police action on the Jamia Millia Islamia University students in New Delhi".
Hundreds of pro-Left activists took part in the agitation staged in front of the Raj Bhavan at 0000 hrs. Protest marches were reported in all the district headquarters against the newly enacted Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
The activists of Kerala Student Union, the student wing of Congress party in the State, also staged a similar protest marches to the Raj Bhavan and other parts of the State.
Earlier, reacting to the CAA, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said, "Kerala's fight against the tyrannical act will see a bipartisan coming together of parties in Govt and opposition. We will be sitting on a Satyagraha in Thiruvananthapuram."
