SF smash suicide bombers training center in Afghanistan; Eight militants neutralised

Kabul, Aug 14 (UNI) Afghan security forces on Tuesday launched a well-coordinated operations in Baraki Barak district of the eastern Logar province, killing eight armed militants and destroying a training center of suicide bombers, Afghan Army said in a statement on Wednesday.

The operations launched on Tuesday morning against a Taliban hideout in Tagab area of the restive Baraki Barak district and lasted for a while during which, eight armed insurgents were killed and a training center for suicide bombers was completely destroyed, said the statement.

Two local commanders of the Taliban outfit namely Mullah Naqib and Khalid are also among those killed in the raid.

It further added that the security forces also destroyed a large number of arms and explosive objects.

The militants operating against government forces in the area have not commented.

Ankara, Aug 15(UNI) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Saturday that he is considering suspending diplomatic ties with the United Arab Emirates and withdrawing its ambassador after the agreement between the Gulf state and Israel was signed to normalise ties relations.
