Severe heat continues in UP: Banda hottest in country; Lucknow experiences the hottest day of season

Lucknow, May 19 (UNI) The intense heat wave continues to wreak havoc in Uttar Pradesh.
On Monday, Banda remained the hottest place in the country for the second consecutive day, with a temperature of 47.6°C. Lucknow, on the other hand, recorded the season's hottest day.
The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heat waves ranging from heat waves to severe heat waves for a large part of the state for the next week.
