Several injured after SFs fire pellets to disperse demonstrators in Kulgam

Srinagar, Nov 27 (UNI) Several persons were injured on Tuesday when security forces fired pellets and burst teargas shells to disperse demonstrators who were trying to disrupt the Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Kulgam district, where mobile internet service has been suspended.
Two militants were killed and a soldier was martyred while two security personnel were injured in the encounter which ensued early this morning.
People, mostly youths, hit the streets at Khdwani and Redwani and adjoining areas in Kulgam trying to move towards the area where CASO was conducted. Large number of security forces and state police personnel deployed in the area immediately swung into action and resorted to lathicharge to disperse the demonstrators who were pelting stones and bricks.
