Several companies keen to invest in Dharwad District: Shettar

Hubballi, 24 Nov (UNI) Karnataka Minister for Major and Medium Industries Jagadish Shettar on Tuesday said that several Important Companies have come forward to invest about Rupees 6,000.00 (Six Thousand) Crores by establishing various types of Industries in different parts of Dharwad District, in accordance with the agreements reached in the Invest Karnataka Conference held in Hubballi recently.
Inaugurating a New Meeting Hall by the Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation in Udayanagar near here, Mr. Shettar said the proposed Industrial Units include an Investment of about Rupees 3000 (Three Thousand) Crores from AEQus Company which is currently having a Factory in Hukkeri in Belgaum District manufacturing Aerospace and other Consumer related goods, is now planning to develop a Special Economic Zone in area of Three Hundred Acres of Land between Hubballi and Dharwad to manufacture High-end Toys for Exports and the rest are Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) Companies and added that the move will generate 20 to 30 Thousand Jobs for the eligible local youths and help them avoid going to Big cities like Bengaluru in search of Job opportunities.
According to an official press release, the other companies who came forward to invest in North Karnataka Region are Sonali Power Pvt Ltd., and Bhagiratha Chemicals from Hyderabad, Aayana renewable Power from Bengaluru, Nyatcap Power Pvt from Delhi, IOC, Gujarat Ambuja, ACC and Wuxi Megyang Machinery and Jetwings Aerospace and Aviation from Gauhati,
Mr. Shettar added that the Twin cities of Hubballi-Dharwad will become one of the most beautiful places once Several developmental projects that are currently undergoing all over the twin cities under Nagar Vikas Yojana, Smart city Schmes Etc., with Crores of rupees are completed.
