Dhaka, Aug (UNI) Several Bangladeshi Navy members stationed in Lebanon were injured in a massive blast that shocked the country's capital Beirut on Tuesday, killing 78 people and injuring nearly 400.
No Bangladeshi workers died or received injuries in the explosion but a few personnel of Bangladesh Navy lightly got hurt. The number would not be more than 10," said Abdullah Al Mamun, head of the chancery of Bangladesh Embassy in Beirut.
Bangladesh Navy ship BNS Bijoy anchored in Beirut was damaged somewhat, said Mamun, adding that most of the total 110 personnel were not at the ship during the explosion.
