Seven more test positive in Arunachal, tally rises to 259

Itanagar, Jul 5 (UNI) Seven people were tested positive for COVID-19 in Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday, taking the total number of cases to 259.

Of the seven cases, four are reported from Anjaw, two from Tirap and one from Capital

Complex, as per bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services (DHS).

The cases of Anjaw had returned from Bihar, Tirap from Uttar Pradesh, and Capital

Complex from Jharkhand, it said.

'All the cases have been detected from quarantine facilities . All are asymptomatic and

shifted to Covid care centres," it added.

According to bulletin issued late last night, the lone COVID-19 patient from Tawang was

discharged as the test results were negative for two consecutive samples and advised for

strict 14-days home quarantine and self monitoring.

Capital Complex has highest number of COVID-19 cases. A total of 90 cases have been

reported so far out of which active cases stands at 82 and eight discharged.

A total of 259 COVID-19 cases have been reported so far in Arunachal Pradesh. Out of

these , active cases in the state stands at 182, 76 discharged and one death.
