Seven Indian pairs advance to Round of 16 at FIP Silver Radha TMT Indian Open

Hyderabad, Oct 10(UNI) The Round of 32 at the FIP Silver Radha TMT Indian Open witnessed a strong showing from the Indian contingent as several home players progressed to the Round of 16. Among those advancing were S. Sharma and H. Samah, D. Gowda and V. Kotha, A. Kumar and M. Hyder, along with the Indo-British pair of S. Colah and A. Patel, and wildcard duo C. De Sanctis and Prakhyath Kc. Their victories set the stage for an exciting next round as the competition heats up at the KPGBA courts in Hyderabad.Italy’s P. Farabbi and Spain’s A. Pozo Rius defeated India’s S. Narde and M. Sreekumar 6-2, 6-2. India’s S. Sharma and H. Samah recorded an impressive win over India’s A. Kontham and Australia’s R. Sirigiri 6-2, 7-6(5). India’s D. Gowda and V. Kotha advanced to the next round after receiving a walkover against France’s K. Mouimen and L. Jover. Great Britain’s E. Bardo and Egypt’s M. Hesham progressed after receiving a walkover from Spain’s R. Coello Manso and B. Castro Garcia (3).
Sweden’s M. Björkman and the Netherlands’ N. Van Betuw overcame the Netherlands’ M. De Krom and R. Wink 6-2, 6-4. Denmark’s O. Sebber Gormsen and Sweden’s W. Släryd (10) cruised past Slovakia’s P. Potasch and India’s V. Shrivastav 6-0, 6-0. Spain’s C. De Sanctis and India’s Prakhyath Kc defeated India’s S. Tirnati and M. Hussain 6-1, 6-0. Indonesia’s S. Suselo and N. Koesoemahadi beat India’s N. Kodali and R. Achanta 6-2, 6-2. Ireland’s A. Healy and India’s S. Sivareddy went down to Spain’s G. Figuerola Santiago and R. Belmont Pastor (4) 0-6, 1-6.
Argentina’s M. Conte Gonzalez and M. Cabrera comfortably defeated Iran’s K. Rezaee and M. Gholamhoseinpour 6-1, 6-0. India’s A. Kumar and M. Hyder advanced to the next round after receiving a walkover from Egypt’s S. Mohamed Makhlouf and A. Zaghloul (9). India’s S. Colah and Great Britain’s A. Patel moved ahead after receiving a walkover from Spain’s J. Mena Moreno and L. Poliakov. India’s E. Sai Teja and R. Kishore progressed after receiving a walkover from Kuwait’s A. Kocharyan and M. Tuwainah.
