SET recommendations in illicit liquor sale during lockdown under process of being included in excise & taxation policy : Dushyant

Chandigarh, Aug 7 (UNI) Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala said that the recommendations made by the 'Special Enquiry Team' (SET) in the case of sale of illicit liquor during lockdown is already under the process of being included in the latest Excise and Taxation Policy of Haryana and will be implemented by December 2020.
During a press conference here on Friday, the Deputy Chief Minister who also holds the portfolio of Excise and Taxation Department, while answering the queries of media persons, said that the Excise Department is already taking steps to implement all the recommendations made by SET.
Whether it is a matter of installing CCTV cameras in the distillery or the matter of tracking and tracing a vehicle that transports liquor, or to install a flow-meter, all the recommendations have already been made in the excise policy this time which is being expedited, he added.

Uttarakhand records 24 83 pc voter turnout till 11 am

Dehradun, Apr 19 (UNI) Uttarakhand has witnessed an average voter turnout of 24.83 per cent for five Lok Sabha seats till 11am on Friday,
Excluding the Nainital constituency, voting percentages in the other four constituencies have surpassed those of the 2019 elections within the same timeframe, which recorded 23.59 per cent turnout by Friday midday.
