New Delhi, Sep 20 (UNI) Serbian Foreign Minister Nikola Selaković on Monday called on Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu and also held a meeting with Minister of State for External Affairs Meenakshi Lekhi, during which the two sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral ties.
Vice President Naidu, during the meeting, noted that both countries as co-founders of the Non-Aligned Movement have traditionally enjoyed deep friendship marked by mutual trust and understanding.
In a series of tweets, Vice President Naidu said that he also touched upon bilateral relations and observed that “there are immense opportunities for businessmen, scientists and technologists, youth and sportsmen from both countries to collaborate meaningfully”.
Separately, the Serbian Foreign Minister met MoS Meenakshi Lekhi.
“Delighted to meet Serbian FM Nikola Selakovic. Discussed our warm and historical relations and ways to further strengthen our multifaceted ties especially in the spheres of economy, culture, tourism and education,” she tweeted.
On Sunday, the Serbian Foreign Minister held talks with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, during which both sides agreed to take forward their long-standing cooperation, especially on the economic side.
