SER continues to provide free meals to the helpless & needy people

Kolkata, Oct 30 (UNI) South Eastern Railway (SER) has been rendering a yeoman’s service by providing free meals to the poor and destitute people since the beginning of the lockdown in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic.
SER, till October 28, 2020 has distributed 4,86,286 free and hygienic meals to the helpless, poor and needy people nearby and outside the railway premises at its Headquarters & all over its four divisions namely Kharagpur, Adra, Chakradharpur and Ranchi.
Out of total 4,86,286 meals, 92,880 meals have been served and distributed by Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) utilising its Base Kitchen infrastructure located in SER stations with the help of the Commercial Department.
