Mumbai, Mar 20 (UNI) The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday gained by 71 points at 38,435 as buying was seen in Finance, Health Care, Industrials, IT, Capital Goods and

Realty stocks.

The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too rose by 21 points to 11,536.



The sensex registered intra day high and low at 38,472.51 and 38,316.21 respectively.



The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 11,556.10 and 11,511.50 points respectively.



The gainers were Infosys by 2.53 pc to Rs 739.75, L & T by 1.36 pc to Rs 1375.25, HCL Technology by 1.27 pc to Rs 1047.75 and VEDL by 0.84 pc to Rs 174.15.



The losers were NTPC by 2.41 pc to Rs 131.85, ONGC by 1.94 pc to Rs 153.95, Bajaj Auto by 1.42 pc to Rs 2938.05 and Coal India by 1.13 pc to Rs 240.35.
