Mumbai, Feb 21 (UNI) The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) gasined further today by 55 points to 28,716.70 in the intraday trade on renewed buying Materials, Energy, Industrials and IT stocks. The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose by 11 points to 8890.75. The sensex registered intra day high and low at 28,726.10 and 28,644.81 oints respectively. The Nifty recorded day intra day high and low at 8,895.15 and 8,873 respectively. Except FMCG and Finance, all other sectoral indices were trading in green. In scrips, Tata Steel, Asian Paints, Tata Motors an Adani Ports surged while selling in Bharti Airtel, ITC, Coal India and Powergrid capped from further gain, broker informed. The gainers were Tata Steel by 1.48 pc to Rs 493.90, Asian Paints by 1.04 pc to Rs 985.50, Tata Motors by 0.85 pc to Rs 459.35 anf Adani Ports by 0.78 pc to Rs 302.85. The losers were Bharti Airtel by 2.09 pc to Rs 367.80, ITC by 1.41 pc to Rs 262.10 and Coal India by 0.78 pc to Rs 317.55.
