Sensex advances 114.52 pts

Mumbai, Nov 14 (UNI) The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Thursday gained

114.52 points to 40,230.58 on renewed buying in energy, FMCG, finance, auto, materials, realty and consumer durables.

The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too rose by 39.30 points to 11,879.75.

The Sensex registered intra-day high and low at 40,239.54 and 40,026.99 points respectively.

The Nifty recorded day intra-day high and low at 11,879.90 and 11,802.65 points respectively.

The sectoral indices like energy, FMCG, finance, telecom, auto, realty and consumer durable kept the market firm in early trade.

The gainers were Yes Bank by 3.22 pc to Rs 70.45, Infosys by 2.16 pc to Rs 706.15, Maruti Suzuki by 1.53 pc to Rs 7265.25 and ICICI Bank by 1.16 pc to Rs 492.90.

The losers were Bharti Airtel by 2.61 pc to Rs 358.90, IndusInd Bank by 2.46 pc to rs 1379.05, Tata Motors DVR by 1.53 pc to Rs 7730 and Tata Motors by 1.41 pc to Rs 168.20.
