Senior IAS, four others sentenced to three years RI and Rs 50,000 fine in a corruption case

Bhubaneswar, March 27 (UNI) The Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar on Monday convicted senior IAS officer and former Managing Director, Odisha Rural Housing Development Corporation (ORHDC) Vindo Kumar and four others in a corruption case.
The judge sentenced them to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 3 years and to pay a fine of Rs 50,000.
In default of payment of fine, all the convicted would further undergo further rigorous imprisonment for a period of 6 months on each count for the offence U/s 468/120-B IPC, the judge ordered. Both sentences will run concurrently.
