Senior Deputy Election Commissioner reviews SIR progress in Odisha, calls for timely completion

Bhubaneswar, June 16 (UNI) Senior Deputy Election Commissioner Gyanesh Bharati on Tuesday reviewed the progress of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise in Odisha and directed officials to complete the process ahead of schedule while ensuring that no eligible voter in the state is left out of the electoral roll.
During the review meeting, Bharati conducted a detailed assessment of activities related to the SIR exercise and expressed satisfaction over the progress achieved so far.
According to officials, Odisha had a total of 33.3 million registered voters before the commencement of the Special Intensive Revision. Out of these, 31.6 million voters, accounting for 94.6 percent, have been successfully mapped, while 5.34 percent remain unmapped.
