Sen eyes Federation Cup as Mohun Bagan host Shillong Lajong in Fed cup semis

Kolkata, May 7 (UNI) Head coach Sanjay Sen is aware of the importance of winning at least a trophy for seasons 2015-16 when Mohun Bagan host north-east giants Shillong Lajongin the first leg of Hero Federation Cup semi final match at Barasat Stadium on Saturday.
Winner of I-League in 2014-15 edition, Mohun Bagan emergedrunners up to champions Bengaleru FC in the recently concludedI-League and now they have the last chance to win a cup beforenext seasons begin. Mohun Bagan bulldozed Salgaocar 4-0 in their second leg ofthe Federation Cup match at the Barasat Stadium on May 5 to clash against Shillong Lajong, who ousted another city giants Kingfisher East Bengal 4-3 on agreegate in the round of eight.
And the Sanjay Sen side defeated Salgaocar 7-2 on aggregate,a warning for any rivals facing the Mariners. Both Mohun Bagan and Shillong Lajong had practised today atthe former ground separately before showdown on Saturday eveningat the Barasat Stadium in North 24 Parganas.
