New Delhi, Jul 4 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said selfless service has been BJP's resolve and culture and stressed that organisation means 'service while taking along everyone' and 'not just a medium to win elections'.
Mr Modi stressed that for the saffron party, organisation is not just a machine to win elections. 'Organisation is the means for service. Our organisation believes in happiness of all, prosperity of all.'
'We consider power as the medium of service in politics. We never made power our way for profit,' Mr Modi said during a programme where he reviewed the relief work carried out by BJP Karyakartas during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Senior BJP leaders and Union minister including Rajnath Singh and Amit Shah were present at the party headquarters here in the programme.
Seven state presidents from Karnataka, Bihar, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, made digital presentations of the works done by party workers.
Praising the works done by party's state units during the pandemic, Mr Modi said such vast amount of work should be documented.
'BJP's service programs which were so wide-spread, with huge diversity and on such a large scale, I think this is the biggest 'seva yagya'(service) in human history,' he said.
He said there should be digital documentation of the works done at the level of mandal, district, state and then accumulated at the national level.
He suggested that documentation should be done in at least three languages -- English, Hindi and a regional language.
'We should aim that by September 25, the digital book should be ready which will inspire the future generations,' he said.
