Panaji, Aug 22 (UNI) Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani on Thursday said the Western Zonal Council of India, which met here, discussed issues related to security and implementation of welfare schemes.
Speaking to reporters at a starred resort, venue of the meeting, he said, 'The Western Zonal Council of states met on Thursday under the chairmanship of Home Minister Amit Shah and discussed various issues related to the security of the region and successful implementation of central government schemes, including those dealing with poverty."
Mr Rupani said the meeting was attended by Chief Ministers of Goa and Maharashtra and Chief Secretaries of Goa, Gujarat and Maharashtra as well as officials of Union Territories of Daman, Diu and Dadra Nagar Haveli.
