Security of people, top priority: Meghalaya CM

Shillong, June 21 (UNI) Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Friday inaugurated the Mallangkona police outpost infrastructure in West Khasi Hills district, which was once an area of difference with Assam, and reported numerous skirmishes in this border outpost.
“This establishment of a new police outpost sends a very strong message that the safety and security of our people are important,” he said.
The Chief Minister said similar police setups in other “critical locations” across the state would be put in place to ensure the protection of the citizens.
