Srinagar, Sep 23 (UNI) Security forces on Wednesday launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) after militants hurled a hand grenade towards a naka party in Pulwama town in south Kashmir, official sources said.
They said militants lobbed a hand grenade towards a security force naka party near fire station in main town Pulwama. However, grenade missed the intended target and exploded without causing any damage. Security forces fired some rounds in the air, they said but the militants managed to escape.
Panic gripped the town after hearing the loud explosion due to grenade blast and firing shots, they said , adding people ran helter-skelter.
