Second Rake of Kishan Rail chugs off from Anantapur with 262 tones of vegetables & fruits

Hyderabad, Sep 20 (UNI) Keeping alive the interests and fulfilling the aspirations of farmers, the second rake of Kisan Rail has started from Anantapur Station at the early hours on Sunday to reach Adarsh Nagar Station, New Delhi.

The Kisan Rail is expected to reach New Delhi on September 21. Within a short span of 10 days period after its inaugural run, farmers and traders of Anantapur District showed keen interest to offer loading and subsequently the 2 nd Kisan Rail was loaded with 262 tonnes of agricultural produce consisting of 239 tonnes tomatoes & 23 tonnes of fruits like Papaya and among others, a South Central Railway statement here said.
