SEC suspended ITI Superintendent, Fatehgarh Sahib for dereliction of election

Fatehgarh Sahib, Dec 30 (UNI) State Election Commission on Sunday suspended Sukhwinder Singh Superintendent of ITI, Bassi Pathana of district Fatehgarh Sahib for dereliction of election duty.
Fatehgarh Sahib Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Electoral Officer reported to Election Commission that Sukhwinder Singh was appointed as Presiding Officer for Gram Panchyat Elections but he had failed to report for his duty and also instigated the other polling staff not to report for duty.
Fatehgarh Sahib Additional Electoral Officer-cum ADC Jagwinderjit Singh Sandhu said the State Election Commission after considering the fact decided to suspend Sukhwinder Singh immediately and the officer may not be re-instated in service before getting the recommendations of the commission.
