Seat agreement between BJP and IPFT unresolved

Agartala, Jul 12 (UNI) The ongoing dispute over sharing of seats between ruling BJP and it’s alliance partner IPFT in upcoming elections to Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (ADC) could not shape up even after meeting with BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav during his two days visit.
Leaders of both the parties have expressed keenness to continue alliance for running the government. However, the contentious demand for IPFT to handle ADC affairs has still been unresolved. IPFT delegations while interacting with Ram Madhav made it clear that anyone who wants to negotiate seat alliance in the ADC vote with the IPFT's Twipraland demand is welcome,
IPFT spokesperson Mangal Debbarma said they had detailed discussion on various issues with Ram Madhav but no final decision has been taken on the seat agreement. There may be a seat agreement with BJP if Twipraland demand is accepted, Debbarma added.
