Search op called off as militants give slip to forces in north Kashmir

Srinagar, Jan 5 (UNI) As militants managed to give slip to security forces, the search operation launched earlier today has been called off in north Kashmir district of Bandipora, where some gunshots were heard while the area was being sealed.
Official sources here said security forces were withdrawn after there was no militant in the area.
They said following a tip-off about the presence of militants, security forces and Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police launched a joint operation at village Madhwan, Hajin, in Bandipora
