SCRWWO conducts healthy living campaign 'Walk Your Way to Fitness'

Hyderabad, Dec 8 (UNI) South Central Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation (SCRWWO) organized a healthy living campaign walkathon 'Walk Your Way to Fitness' here on Sunday.

The rally began from Vidhya Vihar High School to Chilkalguda Railway Colony, Secunderabad.

Ms Jayathi Mallya, President, SCRWWO and other Executive Members participated in the rally to bring awareness about cleanliness and hygiene amongst the railway staff and children residing in the Chilkalguda railway colony and adjacent areas.

Addressing the gathering, she stressed upon good cleanliness habits and how to keep a good health. She quoted the slogan 'Health is Wealth' and explained the gathering on simple ways to maintain healthy life style. She also stated that, by keep our premises clean and tidy will also influence our children to lead a healthy life style.

She said that, we can prevent many epidemic diseases by taking simple precautionary measures in our day to day life, always prevention is better than cure.

Around 150 students of Vidhya Vihar High School run by SCRWWO, Teachers and staff have participated in the rally. The Healthy living Campaign, “Walk Your Way to Fitness” rally was conducted in entire railway colony and adjacent areas by giving slogans and displaying banners and the placards to educate the colony people on the style of living in healthy, clean and green surroundings.

Ms Minal Phadke, Secretary along with other executive committee members of SCRWWO were also participated in the health campaign walk, distributed caps to the school children and participants.
