Scouts illegally misusing the name of Sports Ministry

New Delhi, Jun 13 (UNI) The Sports Ministry today said it has noticed the Scouts and Guides Organisation with its head offfice at Vasundhara, Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh is misusing its name in their letter head, stating it is affiliated with the ministry.
The organisation on May 14, 2016 advertised application for various posts for appointment at its regional office in Nagpur in a local newspaper, misusing the name of the ministry.
Meanwhile, the ministry has appealed to general public and concerned authorities that it has neither given any recognition or affiliation to the Scouts and Guides Organisation .It also clarified that it is also not giving grant-in-aid to this organisation to conduct scouting and guiding activities in any State or UT of the country, the ministry stated in its release.
