SCO ready to open new opportunities for partnership with ASEAN

Beijing, Aug 8 (UNI) The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is ready to open up new opportunities for partnership with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), SCO Secretary-General Zhang Ming said on Thursday, adding that the SCO and ASEAN are able to contribute to strengthening peace by working together.
"We are ready to open up new opportunities for partnership in areas of mutual interest," Zhang said, as quoted by the SCO in its official Telegram channel, adding that the organization is ready for joint work "in areas of mutual interest."
The SCO and ASEAN can contribute to strengthening peace and stability, Zhang added.
