SC to hear plea against Chinmayanand bail on Monday

New Delhi, Feb 20 (UNI) The Supreme Court said it will hear on Monday, February 24, a petition filed by a Shahjahanpur law college student, who was allegedly raped by senior BJP leader Swami Chinmayanand, against an Allahabad High Court order granting him bail in the case.
Senior Supreme Court advocate and noted human rights activist, Colin Gonsalves, on Thursday mentioned the matter before a bench, headed by CJI S A Bobde, who agreed to list the case for hearing on Monday.
The Shahjahanpur law college student, (victim), who was allegedly raped by Swami Chinmayanand, had approached Apex Court challenging the Allahabad High Court order granting him bail in the case and seek to cancel his bail.
