SC refuses to allow BJP to take out Rath Yatra in West Bengal

New Delhi, Jan 15 (UNI) Supreme Court on Tuesday refused to allow West Bengal unit of BJP to take out Rath Yatra, but asked the party to place before the state government a revised proposal in this regard.
A bench, led by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi, said, "It (State BJP Unit) can, conduct the rallies and meetings."
Senior lawyer Abhishek Singhvi, appearing for West Bengal government, opposed the plea of state BJP to hold the Yatra in such a manner.
