New Delhi, Aug 13 (UNI) The Supreme Court on Friday granted partial relief to automakers by allowing registration of vehicles with BS-4 emission norms sold before March 25, when the nation went into the first lockdown, to check the spread of Novel Coronavirus.
In the affidavit filed by the top court, the government had given details of the number of vehicles sold and those uploaded on the E-Vahan portal.
The Apex Court bench, headed by Justice Arun Mishra, observed that the vehicles, which were not uploaded on the E-Vahan portal, would not be allowed to be registered, while stating that it's order is not for Delhi-NCR.
