New Delhi, May 11(UNI) The Supreme Court collegium, consisting of five senior most judges, will meet on Friday to deliberate on the elevation of Uttarakhand High Court Chief Justice KM Joseph to the Top Court.
The meeting will be held at the Supreme Court at 1300 hrs.
The collegium consists of five judges: the Chief Justice of India (CJI) Dipak Misra, Justices Jasti Chelameswar, Ranjan Gogoi, Kurian Joseph and Madan Bhimrao Lokur.
Currently, there are 25 judges in the apex court, still short of its actual strength by six members.
The collegium had on May 2 also, held a 45-minute meeting, to reconsider the recommendation for the appointment of Justice Joseph as a SC judge , but was deferred as it remained inconclusive.
