New Delhi, Sep 21 (UNI) The Supreme Court on Monday cancelled National Legal Aptitude Test (NLAT) for admissions in National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru and directed the University to admit the students on the basis of Common Law Aptitude Test (CLAT).
The CLAT is an all-India level common admission test for most of the law colleges across the country. It is slated for September 28.
The order from the Apex Court came on a petition filed by Rakesh Kumar Aggarwalla, father of a law aspirant and Professor R Venkata Rao, former vice-chancellor of the NLSIU which challenged the decision of the university to conduct a separate admission test.
