SC brackets Delhi Police with 'Executive,' tells to decide for themselves on farmers' R-Day rally

New Delhi, Jan 20 (UNI) The Supreme Court on Wednesday told the Delhi Police to decide for themselves, whether to allow the tractor rally, proposed to be carried out by the farmers in the national capital on Republic Day, in protest against the three farm laws.
'You are the executive of the country and have the authority to take the decision. You have powers to pass appropriate order please do that. The Court cannot interfere. We will not keep it pending," observed the three-Judge bench, headed by Chief Justice of India SA Bobde, and also comprising Justices AS Bopanna and V Ramasubramanian.
The development came on mentioning of the application by Attorney General KK Venugopal and Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, during hearing on the pleas against Farm laws.
