SBI, PNB respond to Karnataka govt's cease-transaction order

Bengaluru, Aug 15 (UNI) In an escalating financial dispute, the State Bank of India (SBI) and Punjab National Bank (PNB) on Thursday reaffirmed their commitment to resolving the issue with the Karnataka government.

On August 12, the Karnataka government issued a directive instructing all its departments, boards, corporations, public sector units, and universities to cease any transactions with SBI and PNB. This action follows allegations that employees at both banks were involved in withholding significant sums of money from key state institutions.
