Saurav, Chinmay, Amit Bzad and Sultan through to quarters

Chandigarh, June 21 (UNI) Keen contests are being witnessed in the CLTA-AITA National Ranking Tennis Championship for Men and Women being played at the Sector 10 Tennis Stadium here today. Saurav Sukul and his opponent Abhishek Gaur were engaged in a marathon four and half hours of tennis before Sukul emerged winner in the men's singles by 7-6(5), 3-6, 6-2.
In another closely contested outing Chinmay Dev Chauhan prevailed over plucky Anshuman Gulia 2-6, 6-3, 6-4. Amit Bzad and Amit Beniwal both players were playing a high intensity of tennis. Young Amit Bzad was playing with cool mind and won the match 4-6, 6-4, 6-2. CLTA trainee Sultan Singh Atwal continued his good form in big serve and big forehand in this tournament. Sultan beat Amarnath Arora in a straight sets 6-3, 6-4.
In the women’s singles event top seed Shweta C. Rana defeated her opponent Dakshata Patel in a one sided match. Shweta was too good for her opponent, she closes the match 6-1, 6-1. Shivani Shravya and Prinkle Singh played an excellent tennis. Both the players were aggressive from the baseline. Shivani loss the 1st set 1-6. Shivani was down in the 2nd set 1-4 and 2-5 from there Shivani uses more variation of strokes that Prinkle Singh start doing errors. Shivani took the 2nd set 7-6(0). In the final set both the players were going neck to neck till 6-6 in the tie breaker Shivani win 7-6(5).
