Saudi-bound Umrah pilgrims denied travel by airlines due to Covid threat

Malappuram, Feb 27 (UNI) With the threat of Coronavirus spreading to the Middle East regions, the Saudi Arabia appears to have imposed ban on travel on Umrah pilgrims from India with two batches of Umrah pilgrims being denied travel to KSA here on Thursday morning.
According to sources the travel partner, Al Hind Travels here, had two batches of 40-each pilgrims to board flights from Karipur Internaitonal Airport here this morning. However, none of the 80 pilgrims were permitted to travel to KSA following instructions from Saudi authorities.
Al Hind is the major travel operator conducting guided pilgrimage to make Umrah and the agency is having another batches of pilgrims to make it to KSA in the coming weeks also, sources revealed.
