Saudi Arabia reshuffles Council of Senior Religious Scholars

Riyadh, Oct 19 (UNI) Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud on Monday issued a royal decree, which will restructure the kingdom’s Council of Senior Religious Scholars headed by Sheikh Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh and the Shura Council, Gulf News reported.
Sheikh Abdallah Al Sheikh will head the kingdom’s newly restructured Shura Council, which will be made up of 150 members and will have a four-year term.
Dr Mishaal bin Fahm Al Salami was named as the Vice President of the Shura Council, while Dr Hanan bin Abdulrahim bin Mutlaq Al Ahmadi was named Assistant Chairman of the Shura Council.
