Satyajeet Dubey approved 'Simulacra' based on his intuition

Mumbai, July 15 (UNI) Actor Satyajeet Dubey has revealed that he chose to be part of the upcoming science-fiction film "Simulacra" purely on instinct, saying his decision was driven more by the director's creative vision than by logic or careful calculation.
During the trailer launch of the film "Simulacra", Dubey said that his decision to be a part of director Pankaj Sawant's first feature film was influenced by the creative belief and vision of the director.
The 35-year-old actor said, "I'm always open to working with filmmakers who bring fresh ideas and a different vision. When I met Pankaj, he narrated the film's story to me in detail and showed me audio-visual references. I didn't fully understand the story at first, but the world he was trying to create on screen and the passion with which he wanted to tell it resonated with me."
He said that saying yes to the film was based solely on his gut feeling. “After that, we all had only one goal: to make the best film possible. I tried to give my 100 percent as an actor and collaborator.”
Dubey said he's eager to see the audience's reaction to the film after its release. He said, "After a while, you can't look at your own work objectively. Ultimately, it's the audience who determines how much people connect with a film. I'm excited to see how people experience this film and what new conversations it sparks."
Produced by Shrikant Kadam, Praveen Pingat, and Pankaj Sawant under the banner of Philosia Films, "Simulacra" is a high-concept science-fiction film starring Dubey and Akshara Haasan. The film will premiere on Waves OTT on July 17. UNI NST CDS
