Sarthak & Syndrela cap stellar season with second title in National TT championship

Ranchi, Dec 11 (UNI) Odisha’s emerging talent, Sarthak Arya, once again displayed his grit and finesse, defeating West Bengal’s Rupam Sardar 3-1 to capture the Under-17 Boys’ title at the fifth UTT National Ranking Table Tennis Championships on Thursday at the Harivansh Tana Bhagat Indoor Stadium here.
This triumph adds yet another feather to Sarthak’s cap, following his earlier U-17 title victory this season at Panchkula.
In the Girls’ final, Syndrela Das produced a commanding performance, sweeping past Avisha Karmakar 3-0 in a one-sided affair that offered her opponent little chance to respond.

Death toll from Spanish fatal train crash rises to 45

Madrid, Jan. 22 (UNI) The death toll from Sunday's train crash in southern Spain has risen to 45 after Spanish Civil Guard officers discovered two additional bodies on Thursday.
The bodies were found after authorities extended the search perimeter around the crash site near the town of Adamuz, in the province of Cordoba. About 200 Civil Guard agents were involved in the operation, supported by search dogs, drones, and infrared equipment.
