Sarthak Gandhi upsets second seed Bhupender Dahiya

Chandigarh, Sep 23 (UNI) Top seed Krishan Hooda of CLTA moved into pre-quarterfinals In the boys under-18 singles in the CLTA-AITA Super Series Tennis Tournament at the Sector 10 Tennis Stadiumhere today. Krishan defeated qualifier Gaurav Kumar, another CLTA trainee, in straight sets 6-2, 6-2.
Sarthak Gandhi upset second seed Bhupender Dahiya 7-6(0), 6-2. Fourth seed Shashikant Rajput and Sukhpreet Singh Jhoje also advanced into pre-quarterfinals. Shashikant Rajput overplayed Samar Bir Singh Sidhu 6-2, 6-2. Other players who moved into next round are Jitin Kumar Chetry, Manveer Singh, Ajay Singh and Aditya Balda etc.
In the girls under-18 singles first round qualifier Harnoor Kaur Sidhu defeated Vishita Ranbir Kumar in one sided match. Harnoor won the first set easily 6-1. In the second set Harnoor maintained her rhythm and won the set without conceding single game 6-0.
Simran Pritam of CLTA Trainee won from Mrinalini Sharma 7-5, 6-1. Other players who moved into next round Hanah Nagpal, Aditi Singh, Amarjot Kaur Bundhel and Harleen Kaur. Other matches are in progress.
