New Delhi, May 14 (UNI) Playback singer Sonu Nigam has expressed appreciation at the untapped talent available in the country and the need for a platform for them to display their prowess.

During an interview on the occasion of the 100th epsiode of his 'The MJ Show', talk show host Mihir Joshi showed Sonu a video of Sarath S Kumar, a singer from Hansraj College, Delhi who recently appeared on the college talent platform ATKT.in.

Sarath had performed a version of Ambva Talay at Hindu college’s cultural festival, Mecca.

Commenting on the interaction and the talent, Sonu said, “I was happy to be a part of the 100th episode of the MJ Show, where I got to see Sarath’s performance. There are many young singers who have got exceptional talent in this country, and they need better platforms. Sarath Kumar has a great voice and with the right platforms, I believe that no hurdle would be too great for this young guy to cross”.

Mihir said, “India has a lot of talent and the future of the music industry lies in tapping great talent which exists in all corners of the country. I am happy to associate with a platform like ATKT.in who help discover young musicians and other artistes from different colleges.”

Commenting on this association, Prashant Sardesai, co-founder of ATKT.in said, “When talent that has been discovered by ATKT gets such high praise, it fills us with pride. We are always happy to ally with platforms and individuals who have the same goal of working with young talent, so working with Mihir to give these talented kids a push has been a great experience.”

Also speaking on the association, Sarath said, “I was thrilled just to know that artists like Mihir Joshi and Sonu Nigam would be watching my ATKT video. To hear such lovely words from both of them is amazing! I am very grateful to ATKT for giving me a platform, and to help me to showcase my talent across the country, rather than just my college or city.”
