Sandipani Schools emerging as centres of quality education: MP CM

Bhopal, Jul 17 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav said on Friday that the government-run Sandipani Schools, equipped with modern facilities, are emerging as centres of quality education and as a result students are leaving private schools and enrolling in these schools.
The Chief Minister said that the State Government is establishing Sandipani Schools to secure a brighter future for children. He said that students in government schools are provided free textbooks and bicycles. Meritorious students securing more than 75 per cent marks in the Board examinations receive laptops, while students topping their schools are awarded scooters.
Chief Minister Dr Yadav was addressing a programme in Sleemanabad, Katni district, held to mark the inauguration of the Sandipani Schools.

Majority Uttarakhand madarsas yet to comply with Dhami govt's effort to integrate them with mainstream education system

Dehradun, Aug 12 (UNI) Madarsas in Uttarakhand have largely ignored the Pushkar Singh Dhami government's efforts to integrate them with the state Education Board and the mainstream education system. Only seven of the 452 state recognised madarsas have shown interest in seeking affiliation to the Uttarakhand Education Board after the Dhami government scrapped the State Madarsa Board on July 1.
This has caused a setback to the state government's intent to integrate minority children with mainstream education in Uttarakhand.
