Kochi, May 22 (UNI) Samsung, a leading smartphone brand in the country, has launched four new smartphones at a function held here on Tuesday.
Launching the new products, Samsung India General Manager Aditya Babbar said that ‘’the mobile industry will witness a paradigm shift in the design of smartphones with the introduction of Samsung’s signature Infinity Design philosophy on the galaxy A and J series.’’
On the features of the new generation smartphones from the Samsung family, he said ‘’Galaxy J6, J8, A6 and A6+ debut Samsung’s brand new ‘Make for India’ innovation that compliments millennial requirements of uninterrupted video binging.’’
‘’Out latest ‘make for India’ innovation Chat-Over-Video allows uninterrupted viewing experience just the way millennials want it. We are also introducing a new youthful land vibrant blue colour hat which shows that we listen to our young customers who constantly seek stylish designs.’’
Mr Babbar also said that the company had invested Rs 5000 core in the country to increase the production capacity to double.
Claiming that Samsung was holding the number one position in selling smartphones, he said Samsung holds 42 per cent and 37 per cent of market share in value and volume respectively.
However, Kerala stood the top position with over 39 per cent of customers using Samsung phone with market share of 43 per cent, he added.
Samsung had also tied up with Paytm Mall in continuation of their industry-first 020 partnership. This partnership would give customers Rs 3000 cashback on the galaxy A6 and A6+ and Rs 1500 on the J6 and J8 if they choose to pay rough Paytm Mall at any of its 25000 retail outlets where this offer is avilable, he added.
